A local authority in the UK is seeking a full-time Science Technician to work in The Heathland School's Science Department. Responsibilities include preparing experiments and demonstrations for practical lessons up to 'A' Level courses in Biology and Chemistry. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant science qualification and experience in Chemistry or Biology. This role is term time only plus 5 inset days, with a salary range of £27,828 to £29,492, and closing date for applications is 9 January 2026.

The Heathland School is an over‑subscribed, successful multi‑cultural school which received a highly positive Ofsted Report in June 2024.
A full‑time Laboratory Technician (term time only + 5 Inset Days) is required to work in the Science Department. Science is a popular subject with large numbers of students progressing to ‘A’ Level courses.
The person appointed will be responsible for preparing experiments and demonstrations for practical lessons up to and including Biology or Chemistry ‘A’ Level in addition to responsibilities as detailed in the job description. A Science qualification or experience in Chemistry or Biology is essential.
