Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker in Grassyards Road, Kilmarnock to maintain school premises, perform safety checks and respond to helpdesk requests. The role offers 37 hours per week and a permanent contract.

Applicants should have reliable, professional attitude and the ability to work independently or in a team. An enhanced DBS check is required in regulated activity.

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
