Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a School Caretaker to support Challney High School for Girls in Luton. The role focuses on delivering high standards of service while adhering to cleaning schedules and SLA commitments.

The position is permanent and full-time (40 hours per week) with shifts from 6:30am to 3pm or 10am to 6:30pm, including late shifts. An enhanced DBS check is required to safeguard children and ensure a safe school environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks and support out-of-hours building use.
