Mitie is recruiting a School Caretaker for a West Edinburgh school site. This part-time role is 25 hours per week, paid at £13.46 per hour, and involves cleaning duties, equipment upkeep and basic facilities management.

You will join a small team, follow Mitie safety and safeguarding policies, and uphold high standards of service and security on site. DBS checks and references are required.

Aufgaben

• Undertake training to deliver the cleaning role.

• Maintain designated area to agreed cleanliness level per contract and SLAs.
• Ensure service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• Keep equipment clean, well maintained and safe.
• Report maintenance requirements identified during tasks.
• Maintain security and follow lost property procedures.
• Understand the work area, specification and time allocated.
• Know cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals.
• Set a good example in dress, behaviour, punctuality and attendance.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and raise concerns as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure contractors/visitors comply with security and safety on site.
• Build positive relationships with customers and seek improvements.
• Undertake any other related duties as needed.

Main Duties

• Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and under their own initiative.
• Adhere to allMitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevantSLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
• Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
• Always maintain security - locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
• Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
• Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used byMitie.
• Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
• Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
• Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
• To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.
