Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker at Boldon School in Boldon Colliery, Tyne and Wear. You will deliver reliable facilities support, follow cleaning schedules, maintain equipment, and ensure security and safety of the school premises.

You will work 37 hours per week on permanent full-time basis with early, middle, and late shifts, and you may need to undertake an enhanced DBS check in line with safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe order and handle cleaning materials.

• Respond to helpdesk requests, unlock/lock buildings, and porterage.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules. Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
