Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver reliable facilities support at Grassyards Road, Kilmarnock. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, with a pay rate of £13.75 per hour, working in a school environment.

You will follow Mitie's safety policies, perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, respond to helpdesk requests, and assist with room setups and fire alarm checks. DBS clearance is required for safeguarding and to work with children.

• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
