Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a local school in Bridgnorth to recruit an IT Support Technician. The role focuses on reliable, proactive technical support for staff and students, ensuring smooth daily operation of the IT infrastructure and classroom technology.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, support Microsoft 365 and Windows environments, and help maintain AV equipment and network services across the campus.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality first- and second-line technical support to teachers, operational staff, and students across the campus.
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware faults, software glitches, network connectivity issues, and peripheral errors efficiently.
• Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining desktop PCs, laptops, printers, tablets, and specialized IT peripherals.
• Supporting end-users with Microsoft 365 administration, Windows environments, and bespoke educational software applications.
• Managing user accounts, resetting passwords, and maintaining secure access permissions via Active Directory and cloud management platforms.
• Setting up, testing, and maintaining classroom AV equipment, interactive displays, projectors, and digital media tools to ensure uninterrupted teaching.
• Assisting with routine system maintenance, equipment inventory tracking, and the rollout of new software upgrades across the site.
