Marchant Recruitment in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an IT Technician to support the school's IT infrastructure, maintain equipment and provide technical assistance to staff and students. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues, install and maintain devices, and support classroom technology to ensure reliable digital resources for teaching and administration.

Qualifications

• Previous IT support or technical experience.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Understanding of operating systems and basic networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding and background checks.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Provide first-line technical support to staff and students.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops and printers.
• Assist with user accounts, passwords and system access.
• Support classroom displays, projectors and audiovisual equipment.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and software updates.
• Record technical issues, repairs and support requests.
• Help maintain IT inventories and equipment records.
• Follow cybersecurity, data protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Escalate complex technical issues when specialist assistance is required.
