Job summary

IMT Resourcing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an IT Support Engineer to join a school in Oxford, delivering day-to-day technical support to staff and students while contributing to IT infrastructure and improvement projects.

You will provide 1st and 2nd line support, handle hardware and software issues, support Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, and assist with IT projects and documentation to keep education technology reliable.

Qualifications

Experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT Support, Service Desk or IT Technician role.
Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
Experience troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers and peripheral devices.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi).
Experience supporting users both remotely and face-to-face.
Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to teaching staff, admin teams and students.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
Support Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration.
Set up, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, printers and classroom IT equipment.
Manage incidents and service requests, resolving within agreed timescales.
Support maintenance of servers, networks, Wi‑Fi and school IT infrastructure.
Assist with IT projects, hardware refreshes, system upgrades and deployments.
Maintain documentation, asset registers and support records.
Collaborate to identify opportunities to improve IT systems and end-user experience.
