Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Building Supervisor (with no supervision) to work in a school environment. You will provide cleaning and non-cleaning services under the direction of the designated line manager and in accordance with EA procedures.

The role covers security, cleaning, porterage and administration, with responsibilities including lock-up, incident reporting, equipment checks and liaison with school staff. Prior experience in a school setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment or similar setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team with good communication.
• Proven planning and time management to meet deadlines.
• Awareness of safety procedures and building operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of the premises and its contents, including opening/closing.
• Oversee cleaning activities and supervise cleaning staff as needed.
• Maintain buildings, monitor utilities, and report faults to management.
• Prepare reports on cleaning, premises conditions and defects.
• Carry out administration tasks and coordinate with the line manager.
