Job summary

Education Authority in Down/Newtownards is seeking a Building Supervisor (with no supervision) for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:30pm–4:30pm. You will provide cleaning and non-cleaning services under the direction of the line manager, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.

Key duties include securing doors and grounds, operating alarms and CCTV, managing access, and coordinating cleaning with the school staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as building supervisor/caretaker in a school setting.
• Willingness to respond to call outs at short notice.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Security of the premises and its contents at all times.
• Open and close the premises and grounds daily.
• Operate and monitor security cameras and building alarms.
• Plan, organise and supervise cleaning staff to meet standards.
• Prepare the premises for after-school activities.
