Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to manage cleaning staff at a designated location and ensure EA standards are met. The role includes planning workload, providing training, and coordinating with building management.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of cleaning outside the home environment.
• Willingness to undertake training as necessary & provided by the EA cleaning service.
• Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Knowledge of Cleaning Supervisor requirements and Health and Safety at Work NI Order 1978.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the work of cleaning staff while personally undertaking cleaning duties.
• Carry out induction and refresher training for staff.
• Liaise with building manager on day-to-day issues related to cleaning.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action with guidance from the line manager.
• Maintain stock and equipment records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
