Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Building Supervisor (with no supervision) for St Patrick’s Primary School Mayobridge, Down-Newry. The role involves cleaning and security duties under direction, including opening and closing the premises and managing keys.

The post runs Monday to Wednesday, 8am–12pm and 3pm–5pm (6 hours/day; 3 days/week) under a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. Applicants should be prepared to respond to out-of-hours calls as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ demonstrable experience of caretaking, premises, facilities or site duties in a formal workplace.
• As a key holder, be prepared to respond to call outs including unsocial hours.
• Able to work as part of a small team providing cleaning and security services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of the premises and contents, including opening/closing at end of day.
• Operate and monitor security cameras and alarms, report faults promptly.
• Manage keys and lock up procedures for staff and visitors.
• Prepare premises for after-school activities and maintain cleaning standards.
