Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ demonstrable experience working as an assistant building supervisor and/or building supervisor and/or caretaker and/or cleaner in a school environment.
• Experience supervising staff.
• As a key holder, prepared to respond to call outs at short notice, including during unsociable hours.
• Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Secure the premises and its contents, including school meals accommodation.
• Open and close the premises and grounds and ensure doors/gates are locked at the end of the day.
• Operate and monitor security camera system and building security systems; report faults.
• Attend after-hours break-ins and vandalism and ensure premises are secure and cleaned.
• Plan, organise and control the work of cleaning staff to meet Authority standards.
• General administration and reporting of building conditions and maintenance needs.
• Prepare rooms for examinations and other activities.
