Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor for Chartwells schools. This part-time role covers 25 hours per week across 43.8 weeks per year, overseeing kitchen and service operations to deliver exceptional food and service.

You will lead catering teams, monitor KPIs with your line manager, maintain health and safety standards, and represent the brand to pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and upskilling mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Chartwells/Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Support and train teams and lead from the front.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across catering and service.
