Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee catering and service operations on a part-time basis (25 hours per week, 43.8 weeks per year).

You’ll supervise kitchens and service counters, ensure high food quality and customer service, train teams, monitor KPIs, and uphold health and safety standards. The role offers a pathway to progression within a company that values individuality and invests in its people.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of catering experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to deliver impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to enable excellence.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
