Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee all catering and service operations on a part-time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week and 43.6 weeks per year.

You will ensure kitchens and service counters run smoothly, manage teams, monitor KPIs, and uphold health and safety standards, while delivering high-quality food experiences within education settings.

Qualifications

• Two years catering experience or more.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience leading or supervising catering teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to high standards and maintain consistency across service.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure excellent service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and uphold the brand image.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support staff to enable strong performance.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
