Site Supervisor

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to take day‑to‑day responsibility for the safety, security and maintenance of a busy secondary school site. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school environment is safe, clean and well maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the security of the school site, including opening and closing buildings, alarms and key holding;
  • Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY across the site;
  • Monitor contractors and manage planned maintenance works;
  • Support health & safety compliance, including fire safety checks, Legionella monitoring and record keeping;
  • Supervise cleaning staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the school;
  • Set up halls and rooms for assemblies, events and meetings;
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including litter clearance, gritting in icy conditions and basic grounds maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience

Previous site, caretaking or facilities experience is required. The ideal candidate is practical, organised and comfortable working in a school environment, with flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
