Job summary

Education Authority in Northern Ireland seeks a Building Supervisor (with no supervision) to provide cleaning and non-cleaning services under direction of a line manager, ensuring security, safety and good order of school premises.

You will supervise cleaning staff, maintain security systems, monitor utilities, and coordinate with contractors, with emphasis on safeguarding, health and safety, and efficient operation of premises.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school building environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of Manual Handling regulations.
• Knowledge of security systems usage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of premises and keys, including opening/closing.
• Supervise cleaning staff and coordinate with line manager.
• Maintain and monitor security and alarm systems, report faults.
• Oversee cleaning procedures and ensure standards are met.
• Direct and assist with handyperson duties as required.
• Prepare reports on cleaning and premises defects.
