Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Building Supervisor (with supervision) to manage on-site security, cleaning and maintenance across school premises.

The role requires supervising assistant staff, ensuring safety and energy efficiency, and responding to callouts as a key holder. You will work under the School Principal and contribute to a reliable, well-maintained learning environment.

Qualifications

• Evidence of ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Efficient administrative, planning and decision-making abilities to meet deadlines.
• Evidence of a range of handyperson skills applicable to indoor/outdoor learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Security: manage premises security, open/close, lock up and monitor alarms.
• Cleaning/Porterage: supervise cleaning staff and oversee upkeep of facilities.
• Mechanical/Electrical: monitor heating, lighting and maintenance tasks.
• Administration: complete paperwork and maintain records as required.
• General duties: respond to callouts as a key holder; elections duties as required.
