Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning staff at a designated location. You will plan, supervise, and contribute to delivering cleaning services to agreed standards while personally performing cleaning duties when required.

You will induction/train staff, liaise with the building manager, manage supplies within budget, and ensure safety and record-keeping compliance under Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable two years’ experience of cleaning outside the home environment.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Good organisation and planning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the work of cleaning staff and personally undertake cleaning duties.
• Carry out induction and refresher training.
• Liaise with the building manager on day-to-day issues related to cleaning.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action.
• Maintain stock records and equipment inventory; ensure compliance with budget.
