A leading education supply agency is seeking a reliable Admin Assistant to support a secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Billingham. This full-time, temporary position offers a pay rate of £13.68 per hour and has the potential to become permanent. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, knowledge of school systems, and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience (school‑based experience desirable).
  • Strong working knowledge of school systems (e.g. SIMS or similar).
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • General administrative duties to support the school office.
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails.
  • Managing attendance records and pupil data.
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning and data entry.
  • Supporting staff, pupils and visitors to the school.

Skills

Strong working knowledge of school systems
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
