Job description
Overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Later Living Team Leader, the Scheme Coordinator works in partnership with the Later Living team to deliver efficient housing management services in line with MSV and Regulator of Social Housing standards. They oversee scheme operations, supervise staff, address issues promptly, and ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements.

In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.

We own and manage almost 9,000 homes in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and West Yorkshire. Our growth aspirations are to respond to the housing crisis in the North West, by assisting the millennial generation locked out of decent homes, the elderly, those on low incomes, those in need of specialist housing, first‑time buyers, and people who are 'rightsizing'.

Responsibilities
  • Housing Management & Operations: Oversee all housing management tasks, including risk assessments, property allocations, tenancy sign‑ups, arrears monitoring, and contractor liaison.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting), ensuring timely repairs and adherence to MSV policies and regulations.
  • Customer Support & Welfare: Provide daily communication, guidance, and emergency support to residents, liaising with external agencies and safeguarding as required.
  • Community Engagement & Administration: Organise social activities, maintain accurate records, implement policies, and work collaboratively with the Later Living team to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide strong leadership by motivating and coaching the team, managing performance and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with People & Talent policies, and fostering collaboration to deliver high standards of service and support organisational change.
Qualifications
  • Good standard of general education
  • Awareness of Health and Safety
  • Experience of dealing with customers/members of the public on a face‑to‑face basis
  • Awareness of tenancy and property management issues
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the use of ICT
  • Able to respond to emergency situations

We're passionate about inclusion and we'd love to hear from people from diverse backgrounds for this role.

We’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. As this job is based in a supported housing project for vulnerable adults, an enhanced criminal records background check (free of charge to you) is required. A criminal conviction does not necessarily stop you from working with us. All decisions regarding convictions will be made on a case‑by‑case basis.

Benefits
  • 33 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, and a holiday buy scheme
  • Company pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
  • Company‑funded access to a health cash plan, where you can claim back costs of everyday health treatments such as optical, dental and much more
  • Enhanced sick pay with up to 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay
  • Health and Wellbeing Support including an employee assistance programme, free counselling, mental health first aiders and numerous wellbeing initiatives
  • Life assurance subject to being a member of our company pension scheme
  • Learning and development to support you to develop the skills you need to fulfil your role and progress in your career
  • Commitment to Equality and Inclusion with employee network groups covering anti‑racism, LGBTQ+, disability and long‑term health conditions, carers, and menopause

MSV are committed to Equality and Inclusion all applications are scored against the essential criteria of the role; however, we encourage candidates to submit an ammonised CV if they can do so.

MSV are also committed to supporting you to balance work and life, including with any caring or parental responsibilities you might have, and have a range of flexible working options and wellbeing support available to all colleagues to facilitate this.
