Job description

As an Exception Handler at Konica Minolta, you act as the primary scheduler for a team of London-based walking engineers, who specialise in repairing and monitoring Konica Minolta Multi-Function and Production Print Devices for a variety of clients and customers. Day to day duties will include:

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the smooth deployment and scheduling of service calls within the call management system, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Act as the primary scheduler for a small team of London-based walking engineers (currently a team of 4), managing their daily activities and ensuring effective coordination of service visits.
  • Monitor and plan for follow-up visits, parts availability, and any other logistical considerations to maintain high service standards and avoid delays.
  • Provide first-line support for the engineer tool i‑man (used for receiving and dispatching tools), acting as the go-to person for troubleshooting and guidance.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover for colleagues within the scheduling team, which may involve managing schedules for up to 18 engineers during peak coverage periods.
  • Collaborate closely with field engineers, managers, and the wider support team to ensure continuity of service, especially during periods of leave or absence.

Qualifications
  • Experience scheduling/resource planning for field based engineers.
  • Experience using SAP and/or ServiceNow is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at a cross function/department level.
  • Resilient with the ability to deliver negative news when necessary.
