Job description

Due to service development, Vida Healthcare is currently looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking person to join our busy document management team as a scanning clerk. This position is offered on a full-time basis for 37 hours per week and will be based at Kings Lynn surgery.

Working times will be: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 hours with an unpaid 30 minute break

Main duties of the job
  • Ensure that all documentation is processed within an appropriate timeframe, ensuring that they work together with the team to prioritise and access the workload.
  • Read and analyse clinical correspondence received and determining the necessary actions.
  • Ensure that the documents are completed and work flowed to the relevant person, passing onto GPs and/or other members of the practice team any letters that require further input or action such as prescriptions or referrals.
  • Liaise and communicate with wider practice summarising team and participate in meetings as required
  • Attend relevant training to meet the requirements of the role and improve skills
  • Maintain data security at all times ( clear desk procedures, lock out computers etc)
