Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup is seeking a Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Engineer for a contract role based in Stevenage. The role requires onsite work five days a week and active SC clearance.

You will lead projects, assist operations at L1/L2, manage major incidents, perform problem management, and ensure knowledge transfer to technicians while updating HLD/LLD documents. The candidate should have extensive Cisco telephony and video conferencing experience, including CUCM, Unity Connection,

Qualifications

• Cisco environment with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco telephony and video conferencing.
• Experience with Cisco Telephony v12.5: CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, IPPhone.
• Knowledge of Cisco Video conferencing CMS, endpoints, TMS.
• Experience with VMware suite v7/v8.
• Proficient with SIP and H.323 protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing projects.
• Support L1/L2 operations and assist incident resolution.
• Handle major incidents: qualification, action plan, RCA, knowledge transfer.
• Perform problem management and root cause analysis.
• Update and maintain high level and low level design docs.
• Coordinate with Capgemini Team Leader/SDM on customer requests.
• Respond to specific customer requests and ensure smooth handovers.

Role Title: Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Engineer

Duration: contract to run until 31/12/2027

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Fully onsite, 5 days per week

Rate: up to £869.40 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Clearance required: Active SC Clearance and Sole UK National

Role purpose / summary

• Participate, lead and implement Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Projects.
• Occasionally assist operational teams (L1 & L2). Oriented to complex incident resolution
• Major incident (qualification, action plan, resolution, RCA, knowledge)
• Problem management
• Ensure the transfer of skills to technicians and engineers.
• Respond to specific customer requests in coordination with the Capgemini Team Leader/SDM.
• Update technical documentation (HLD & LLD) and procedures.
• Perform hardware & configuration tests.

Skills:

• CISCO environment at least 5 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of the Cisco telephony and video conferencing environment.
• Knowledge of Cisco Telephony environment v12.5: (CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, IPPhone)
• Knowledge of Cisco Video conferencing: CMS, and Cisco video conferencing (endpoints, TMS)
• Knowledge of the VMware suite v7/v8.
• Mastery of SIP/H323 protocols.

Extra Knowledge is a plus:

• Kurmi, Telisca, Real Time Monitoring tool, Prognosis, PeterConnects ecosystems
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN networks and security.
• Systems administration and PC environment would be a plus
