Job summary

Searchability in Stevenage is recruiting a Cisco Telephony & Video Conferencing Team Lead to guide the local technical team while staying hands-on with incident resolution and system tuning.

You will own the health of Cisco Video Conferencing, Telephony and collaboration infrastructure, coordinate vendor escalations, and drive projects to successful delivery. This 100% on-site role offers security clearance and a long-term contract through 31/12/2027.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Video Conferencing and collaboration infrastructure.
• Advanced Cisco Telephony experience including CUCM, Unity Connection and Jabber.
• Knowledge of Cisco endpoints, room peripherals and related licensing/certificates.
• Experience handling L2 Telephony/Video Conferencing incidents and escalations.
• Vendor and L3 escalation management and project support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local Telephony and Video Conferencing team while remaining hands-on with incident resolution.
• Provide advanced technical expertise across Cisco VC, Telephony and collaboration infrastructure.
• Maintain health of the environment, support projects and coordinate escalations.
• Manage the local team, share knowledge and ensure successful delivery of services.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading technology and professional services organisation delivering complex IT and communications services within a large-scale enterprise environment. They are looking for an experienced Cisco Telephony & Video Conferencing Team Lead to lead the local technical team whilst providing hands‑on expertise across critical Cisco collaboration infrastructure.

THE CISCO TELEPHONY & VIDEO CONFERENCING TEAM LEAD ROLE:

You will lead the local Telephony and Video Conferencing team whilst remaining hands‑on with Level 2 incident resolution, hardware and application troubleshooting and customer escalations.

You will provide advanced technical expertise across Cisco Video Conferencing, Telephony and collaboration infrastructure, maintain the health of the environment, support projects and coordinate vendor/L3 escalations where required.

The role will also involve managing the local team, sharing technical knowledge and ensuring the successful delivery and support of the Telephony and Video Conferencing service.

CISCO TELEPHONY & VIDEO CONFERENCING TEAM LEAD ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Advanced hands‑on experience with Cisco Video Conferencing
• Strong experience with Cisco CMS, Expressways, B2B and MRA
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco VC endpoints including Room, SX, Personal, EQ, Webex and Board series
• Hands‑on experience with room peripherals including Room Navigators, Barco and displays
• Strong knowledge of video codecs and encryption algorithms
• Advanced Cisco Telephony experience including CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, Cisco SBS and TRP
• Knowledge of licensing models and certificates
• Strong understanding of SIP/H.323, security and system administration
• VMware experience
• CCNP Voice or equivalent technical expertise
• Experience resolving L2 Telephony and Video Conferencing incidents
• Hardware and application troubleshooting
