Job summary

Experis IT in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is seeking a Cisco Telephony & Video Conferencing Team Lead for an onsite contract through 31/12/2027. You will lead a specialist team, resolve complex incidents, and drive Telephony/Video projects while maintaining the infrastructure.

The role requires advanced Cisco Video Conferencing, CUCM and Cisco Telephony expertise, plus leadership skills to manage the local team and coordinate with vendors. Active SC clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Cisco video conferencing systems including CMS, Expressways, B2B, and MRA.
• Deep hands-on experience with Cisco VC endpoints across room, SX, personal, EQ, Webex and Board series.
• Strong knowledge of room peripherals (room navigators, Barco displays) and associated hardware.
• Solid understanding of video codecs and encryption algorithms used in video communications.
• Extensive Cisco Telephony experience (CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, Cisco SBS, TRP).
• Familiarity with licensing models and certificates for Cisco deployments.
• Proficient in SIP/H.323 protocols, security and system administration.
• Experience with VMware environments.
• CCNP Voice certification and related expertise.
• Proven people management and team leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Resolve Level 2 Telephony/Video Conferencing incidents and escalations.
• Support hardware or application troubleshooting and remediation.
• Respond to customer escalations promptly and professionally.
• Lead Telephony/Video Conferencing projects and deployments.
• Assist operations teams with ad hoc tasks.
• Ensure stability and integrity of the Telephony/Video Conferencing infrastructure.
• Manage the local team and mentor staff; coordinate vendor/L3 escalations.

Role Title: Cisco Telephony & Video Conferencing Team Lead

Duration: contract to run until 31/12/2027

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Fully onsite, 5 days per week

Rate: up to £869.40 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Clearance required: Active SC Clearance and Sole UK National

Role purpose/summary
