Job summary

Searchability seeks a Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Engineer to join our Stevenage-based, 100% onsite team. You will lead Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects and provide operational support across the collaboration environment.

Core duties include incident qualification/resolution, RCA, knowledge management, and documentation. You will test hardware/configuration and share expertise with technicians to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience working within a Cisco environment.
• Strong Cisco Telephony experience, particularly CUCM v12.5, Unity Connection, Jabber and IP Phones.
• Strong Cisco Video Conferencing experience, including CMS, endpoints and TMS.
• Strong understanding of SIP and H.323 protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects and support operational teams with complex L1/L2 incidents.
• Manage major incidents: qualification, resolution, action planning and RCA.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including HLD/LLD and knowledge base articles.
• Support hardware/configuration testing and respond to customer requirements.
• Transfer technical knowledge to technicians and engineers.

• £810 per day via Umbrella
• Stevenage – 100% onsite

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading technology and professional services organisation delivering complex IT and communications solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. They are looking for an experienced Cisco Telephony & Videoconferencing Engineer to support projects and complex operational issues across their collaboration environment.

THE CISCO TELEPHONY & VIDEOCONFERENCING ENGINEER ROLE:

You will participate in and lead Cisco Telephony and Videoconferencing projects, whilst also supporting operational teams with complex L1/L2 incidents when required.

You will be responsible for major incident qualification and resolution, action planning, RCA and knowledge management, alongside problem management and technical documentation. You will also support hardware/configuration testing, respond to customer requirements and transfer technical knowledge to technicians and engineers.

CISCO TELEPHONY & VIDEOCONFERENCING ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• 5+ years' experience working within a Cisco environment
• Strong Cisco Telephony experience, particularly CUCM v12.5, Unity Connection, Jabber and IP Phones
• Strong Cisco Video Conferencing experience, including CMS, endpoints and TMS
• Strong understanding of SIP and H.323 protocols
• VMware v7/v8 experience
• Experience supporting complex incidents and major incident management
• Problem management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience producing/updating HLD and LLD technical documentation
• Hardware and configuration testing experience
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively and transfer technical knowledge
• Desirable: Kurmi, Telisca, Real Time Monitoring tools, Prognosis, PeterConnects, WAN/LAN networking, network security and systems administration.
