Job description
Overview

The Role: We are looking for a Sales Manager to support and develop our sales presence across the UK. The role involves maintaining and developing customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and representing the company’s range of products and services. The successful candidate will use their technical knowledge and sales experience to meet customer needs and contribute to the company’s overall growth objectives.

This position requires travel throughout mainland UK, including overnight stays as required.

Role Responsibilities
  • Developing & implementing effective sales plans
  • Providing technical & engineering guidance on the company’s products and services.
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through ongoing support, information,& advice.
  • Developing relationships with prospective customers & recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Supporting the collection of payments for machine sales in coordination with the office team.
  • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, & market developments to identify potential opportunities or product improvements.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records
  • Undertaking additional duties as required by the company.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales capabilities, including negotiation, lead generation, and customer relationship management.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and stay current with industry developments.
  • A valid driving license acceptable to the company.
  • The flexibility to travel regularly throughout the UK, including overnight stays as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferred qualifications and experience include:
  • Background in sheet metal fabrication (highly advantageous).
  • Experience as a technical applications engineer with an interest in moving into a sales role.
  • A minimum of three years’ sales experience, ideally within the sheet metal machine tool industry.
