Sales Director – Industrial Doors & Smoke and Fire Curtains

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (must be based in the West Midlands, working from the office three days a week; projects can be national)

Remuneration: £45,000–£55,000 plus negotiable commission/dividends & company shares

Role Overview

The Sales Director will promote the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial roller shutters, smoke & fire curtains and security gates for re‑fit & new build projects. This director‑level position includes oversight of the day‑to‑day management of the company and a focus on sales strategy, while also engaging with operational and financial aspects.

Major responsibilities:

  • Lead sales growth through facilities management, fire safety companies, contractors, architects and end‑user clients
  • Manage repair/maintenance call‑outs and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Oversee a team of engineers (currently one direct report)
  • Collaborate with operations and finance to support business objectives
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience in industrial roller shutters, smoke & fire curtains, security gates, building services or a related product background
  • Strong sales bias with the ability to manage multiple aspects of a business
  • Established contacts within the industry (facilities management, fire safety)
  • People‑management experience preferred
