Job Description: Sales Consultant

Hours: 40 hours over 5 days, working any 5 out of 7 days including bank holidays and weekends.

Salary: Basic salary up to £25,500 per annum with the opportunity to earn commission and rewards.

We are looking for a luxury Jewellery Sales Consultant to join our successful sales team based in Southampton.

How you’ll contribute
  • Client Engagement & Consultation: Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, building genuine relationships by actively listening to their needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our jewellery collection, including materials, design details, and craftsmanship.
  • Sales Performance: Proactively meet and exceed individual and team sales targets while maintaining a consultative, customer‑centric approach.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service at all times, handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and creating an environment where clients feel valued.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Embody the essence of our brand, maintain an elegant appearance, and demonstrate passion for luxury jewellery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to share insights, contribute to visual merchandising, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Problem Solving: Employ critical thinking to identify solutions.
  • Flexibility: Adapt quickly to the changing needs of the role.
  • Tech Savvy: Keen interest in new software and quick learning of new systems.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1‑2 years sales experience in luxury retail, preferably in jewellery, with a proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Experience liaising with high‑end clientele is advantageous.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Proactive team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Passion for luxury products and an innate sense of style.
  • Strong attention to detail and keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Proactive and results‑driven attitude with a desire to exceed customer expectations.
