Job summary

Plumb Centre in Weymouth (DT4 9TJ) is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our branch team. You will deliver to customers, assist on the trade counter and provide product advice. A full driving licence is essential, and prior face-to-face sales or customer service experience is required.

This role is full-time, based at Weymouth, with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays. We offer a competitive salary of £26,695 plus bonus and a strong benefits package including generous

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van delivering plumbing & heating suppliers to customers in the local area.
• Serve customers at the trade counter with advice and product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales within the branch.
• Assistance with warehouse duties including stock intake and order picking/packing.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Weymouth branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing & heating suppliers to our customers in the local area
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
