Job summary

Wolseley Group's Plumb Centre in Truro is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the trade counter team. You will advise customers, recommend products, and drive sales while delivering excellent service.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with potential bonuses and a competitive benefits package including pension, annual leave, healthcare, and staff discounts. A driving licence is preferred and plumbing/heating knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant based in our Truro branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm on a rota basis.

• A Full UK Driving Licence is preferential
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience is essential
