Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is recruiting a Sales Assistant in Redruth (TR15 3RR). You’ll assist customers at the trade counter, recommend products and handle inquiries by phone and email with a proactive attitude, and benefit from a competitive salary with bonus and benefits.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00, with occasional Saturday mornings paid as overtime. A full driving licence and a friendly, results‑driven approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• A hands-on approach, using initiative when needed to work as part of a small team and support in all areas at the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Full Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Providing excellent service, establishing strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch, working with both existing and new customers
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders (which will involve some heavy lifting), organising deliveries and merchandising displays to a high standard
• Driving delivery Vehicle and completing customer orders

As a Sales Assistant based in Redruth (TR15 3RR), you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

This is a Full Time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00am- 17:00pm. Saturday working when required 8am to 12pm, paid as overtime.
