Sales Assistant - Johnstone’s Decorating Centre

Location: Torquay

Full Time | Permanent

Overview

We have a permanent vacancy for a Sales Assistant within our Architectural Coatings division. We are looking for a customer-focused individual to become a key member of our friendly and supportive team. Prior experience in a customer-facing environment and a good understanding of IT systems are desirable but not essential, as we will provide in-store training.

As a Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner
• Undertake training to confidently select the correct product for customers’ needs and promote the brand
• Keep the store well-presented and clean
• Follow stock management procedures by receiving deliveries and keeping shelves full

Key Skills / Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer-facing environment is desirable
• Good communication skills with a positive customer-focused attitude
• Good understanding of IT systems
• Flexible towards working hours and duties
• Driving licence is desirable but not essential
