Job summary

Plumb Centre in Redruth is hiring a Sales Advisor to assist customers at the trade counter, recommend products, and manage enquiries by phone and email. The role includes warehouse duties and local van deliveries, with a 40-hour week and occasional Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has proven sales and customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a team-player attitude. A full driving licence is required to support local deliveries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Full Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations.
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Providing excellent service and building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch with existing and new customers.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties including picking, packing, deliveries, and merchandising to a high standard.
• Driving a 3.5T van to make local deliveries; full-time role, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 08:00–17:00 and alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00.

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Providing excellent service, establishing strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
• Proactively seeking opportunities to grow sales within the branch, working with both existing and new customers
• Completing general warehouse duties, including picking, and packing orders (which will involve some heavy lifting), organising deliveries and merchandising displays to a high standard
• Driving 3.5T van making deliveries to customers in the local area, This is a Full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00AM - 5:00PM and every other Saturday morning 08.00AM - 12:00PM.
