Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Part Time Sales Assistant in Plymouth for 30 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. You will assist customers, advise on plumbing and heating products, and support trade counter service.

The role offers £20,021 per year plus bonus and excellent benefits, with shifts Monday to Friday 8:00–17:00 and 1 in 3 Saturdays, plus a generous benefits package including pension, health care and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience is essential.
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a Part Time Fixed Term Contract until July 2027 working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Desired Skills and Experience:
