Job summary

Plumb Centre in Blackpool (FY3 7UN) is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers at the trade counter, offering product advice and recommendations. This full-time role includes some Saturday mornings and requires a proactive, friendly approach.

You will respond to inquiries by phone and email, follow up with previous customers to regain business, and support warehouse tasks as needed. The position carries a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Preferred Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Some warehouse experience is desirable.
• Aiming to deliver outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Preferred Qualities

• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience is preferable
• Some warehouse experience
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
