Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Sales Assistant at Sowton who will help customers at the trade counter, advise on product ranges, and support branch sales growth. The role emphasizes a proactive, friendly approach with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
• Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant based in Sowton, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

• Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and the occasional Saturday 08.00am - 12.00pm.
