Job summary

Plumb Centre in Norwich is hiring a Sales Assistant to support customers on the trade counter, offer product advice and build repeat business. You will respond to enquiries by phone and email, and make outbound calls to previous customers to regain their custom.

A strong work ethic and team spirit are essential. The role involves light warehouse duties, including stock checks, picking and packing orders, and lifting heavy items such as boilers and radiators.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face sales experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and proactive approach.
• Experience in handling stock and basic warehouse tasks.

Job description

As a Sales Assistant based in our Norwich branch you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.

Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.

Warehouse experience.

The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.

To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.

Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

To be comfortable lifting heavy items.

£26,695 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
