Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is recruiting a Sales Assistant for our Finchley branch in London. You will help customers at the trade counter, respond to inquiries by phone and email, and proactively pursue sales opportunities while supporting warehouse operations.

The role requires previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience, with an emphasis on delivering outstanding service and teamwork.

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Be a team player who assists in all areas to ensure smooth branch running.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with advice and product recommendations.

• Perform general warehouse duties including stock booking, picking and packing orders.

Job description

As a Sales Assistant based in our Finchley branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal

£26,695 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
