Job summary

Plumb Centre in Blackpool is seeking a Sales Assistant to help customers on the trade counter with product advice and recommendations. You will respond to enquiries by phone and email, and reconnect with previous customers to secure sales. The role includes light warehouse duties and a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with one in four Saturdays.

The position offers a starting salary of £26,695 plus bonus and benefits, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork within the branch.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant based in our Blackpool branch, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
