Job summary

Plumb Centre in Blackpool is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team. You will work on the trade counter, assist customers with product recommendations, and help drive sales from the branch.

The role involves some warehouse duties and a confident approach to customer service, with a Monday–Friday schedule and Saturday mornings on a 1-in-4 rota. Competitive benefits and bonus potential are included.

Qualifications

• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience is preferable.
• Some warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties include booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Blackpool branch, you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
