Plumb Centre, part of Wolseley Group, seeks a Sales Assistant in Ilkeston to support trade customers, quote on products and build lasting client relationships. The role includes front-line customer service, handling phone and email inquiries, and basic warehouse tasks.

The position is full-time with standard hours and overtime on Saturdays on a rota basis. A background in plumbing/heating knowledge is beneficial and a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm. Saturday working on a rota basis, 8am to 12pm, paid as overtime.

Requirements

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
• A full UK Manual Driving licence is preferable
