Wolseley UK Limited is recruiting for a Sales Assistant at Plumb Centre in Ilkeston. You will serve customers at the trade counter, advise on products, quote prices and build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

The role also includes handling calls and emails with timely quotations and handling warehouse tasks. The full-time position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30am–4:30pm, with Saturday rota 8am–12pm paid as overtime.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Ilkeston branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm. Saturday working on a rota basis, 8am to 12pm, paid as overtime.

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
• A full UK Manual Driving licence is preferable
