Plumb Centre Whitby, part of the Wolseley Group, is looking for a Sales Assistant to support customers on the trade counter and provide quotations. The role offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, with Saturday 8am–12pm (overtime paid). Benefits include pension, annual leave, and discounts.

You will respond to inquiries by phone and email, build relationships for repeat business, and assist in warehouse tasks. Plumbing knowledge is beneficial and a UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial.
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position.
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch.
• A full UK Manual Driving licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders

As a Sales Assistant based in our Whitby branch you’ll be responsible for:

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm. Saturday working 1 in 2, 8am to 12pm, paid as overtime.
