Job summary

Plumb Centre, Garforth branch, is hiring a Sales Advisor to serve trade customers, offer expert product recommendations and handle inquiries by phone and email. You’ll identify sales opportunities and support warehouse operations in a busy branch.

The role requires a driving licence and the ability to lift heavy items; plumbing and heating knowledge is ideal. A full-time, 40-hour week with occasional van deliveries is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in face-to-face sales and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with advice and product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to drive sales within the branch.
• Handle warehouse duties: stock, packing, and heavy items.
• Occasionally drive a 3.5T van to deliver to local customers.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Garforth branch you'll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations


• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude


• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business


• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers


• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets


• Driving a 3.5T van on occasion to make deliveries to local customers

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07.30am - 4.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm.
