Job summary

Wolseley UK is recruiting a Sales Assistant for the York Plumb Centre. You will serve customers at the trade counter, offer product recommendations and quotes, and help build lasting customer relationships to maximise value.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a base salary of £26,695 plus bonus and a range of benefits. A UK driving licence is advantageous, and there are extensive training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous face to face sales and customer service experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Relief driving a 3.5t van doing deliveries to local customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders which will involve manual handling of heavy items.
• This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am to 5.00pm.

Requirements

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
