Job summary

Plumb Centre in Fareham is recruiting a Sales Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour week. The role offers £27,600 base salary with performance bonuses and extensive benefits.

You will serve customers at the trade counter, provide product recommendations and quotations, and build relationships to drive repeat business. You’ll also handle enquiries by phone and email and perform warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a face-to-face sales or customer service role.
• Strong communication and customer-first approach.
• Willingness to support in all areas of the branch.
• Knowledge of plumbing & heating is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Fareham branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.

This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4:30pm.

We’d like you to have:

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
